Call me crazy, but this is the best-looking tower in Metrotown right now. It is simple, yet sleek and clean shape. I love everything about it.

Thanks for the updates.

It's a really impressive looking tower, and it looks a lot better than the rendering. The exterior has subtle details that combine with a well-chosen colour scheme that results in a very cohesive look. I just now noticed from the pics that the protruding ledges on the curved side of the building form a diagonal up the building. Hopefully other developers will take notice and inspire them to design looking condo towers. As a bonus, the top of the tower is faintly lit at night (at least the side facing Kingsway).

Agreed - great lookimg tower.
The only downside I see is that the podium, being across the street from Metropolis, should have had retail.

Wow, Chancellor is a total babe! New tallest in Metrotown, for now

Thanks again, man!

Pretty slick looking tower. Nothing pretentious or over the top. Thanks Klazu for the series of updates.

Went to for my dentist visit on Nelson last week, saw some moving trucks pulling up at the front of the building already.

I wish we could have a couple more like this downtown, or even in the West End. This one scores.

While this is an improvement upon older towers in the West End, it is dull otherwise and forumers would be complaining were it built downtown.

I live next to this building; people started moving in about a month ago. The only portion that isn't completed is the seniors center beside the townhouses (which are also already occupied) and a bit of landscaping.

I was wondering if someone with some talent could make a drawing for this one in the database? I did one about 2 years ago and it's up there, but it's awful and looks nothing like the tower. Perhaps I'll try again.

Over the past week trees were planted and new streetlamps were installed along the sidewalk on Nelson Ave. outside of the townhouses part of the Chancellor development.
Before:

After:

Also, it looks like the new bonsor senior centre next to the Chancellor which was built for bonus density is finally complete:

I had someone inquire about my previous photos, so I edited them and figured why not post the re-touched here as well.

All photos from June 2013, just after the first people moved in.

Finally, a high-resolution photo of the building.

With so many towers with similar floor count next to each other, I think the risk is there. However I am not sure where it would be visible from? Perhaps when driving westbound on Kingsway.
