You know the team is feeling it when Jarome Iginla actually scores nice goals instead of his default five-hole shot.

And as long as Kipper keeps giving up nothing but post in the shootout, we'll be in those playoffs! How exciting!

Strangely I think we could be a better playoff team than a regular season team. It's just unfortunate that comes first.

One thing the ref's do all the time that I hate is if one team gets 3 pp's in a row, the threshold for a penalty call against you goes way down. A ridiculous slashing call results in the tying goal by San Jose.

Other than that a very fast skating, intense game in San Jose tonight between the Sharks and Canucks. 2-2 after 2.

End of reg. - Sharks given every opportunity to win but fail to do so. We'll take the point. Odds of Canucks winning in overtime reduced with Luongo in a shootout.

Canucks win it in overtime!! Great game! The SkyscraperPage Forum goes wild! (no they don't)

With the canucks only two points from number one in the league, I'm just wondering who the second best Canadian team is right now. There are four Canadian teams within only one point of each other. Debate!

The whining in the Canucks' organization begins at the top with their GM, and percolates through to the coaches, the players, and the fans.

"The winning in the Canucks' organization begins at the top with their GM, and percolates through to the coaches, the players, and the fans." - Well said Mr.Oilers

The Oilers are about to miss the playoffs for the 6th year in a row. I'm not sure what's going on with Tambellini, but it seems like he's counting on a top 1 or 2 pick year after year and not being smart about the other things. The Oilers don't have the supporting cast that they should by now.

Along with our world class players, the Canucks have patiently cultivated draft picks - Jannik Hansen; 9th round. Mason Raymond; 2nd round. Burrows; undrafted F/A signing. Kevin Bieksa; 5th round. Alex Edler; 3rd round. Along with some smart trades and free agent signings. All this adds up to an elite team year after year. Maybe the Canuck organization isn't so bad after all.

I agree with that.

Tambellini definitely can't whine like Mike Gillis, either.

With a win we'll be 2 pts out of a playoffs spot but with a loss we'll be 25th in the league (hello lottery).

It's a win-win situation.

The Habs are the best team in NHL history ... at blowing leads.

Once again the 2 goals lead was not enough.

We have now lost 14 games (out of of the 28 we've lost) where we had the lead.

Good for the tank.

Man the Ducks look bad tonight. Ducks giving up short handed chances left and right. No conspiracy, but it would be nice to see one Canuck PP. 4-0 Van 5 min. left in the 2nd.

And once again the referee nearly pops his arm off calling a penalty against the Canucks. Ref's deploying a "score management" strategy at this point.

nice OT win by the Jets tonight. Evander Cane pots another. December was going to be a make it or break it month with the amount of home games on the sched, and we definetley took advantage. Final game of the year will be awesome on New Years Eve with the Leafs who we are in a 3 way tie with the Devils for 6th in the East.

Oil had 3 or 4 missed "sure" goals... Another 2 pts lost.

I hope this clip gets shown on HNIC. Joe Thornton is suppose to be a leader of men, and here he is acting like Sean Avery during a Captains/Ref conference regarding penalty calls. The Sharks Captain acting like an 8 year old at the most inappropriate time. Just plain embarrassing.

And a rousing ovation from the 12 000 Canucks fans in Anaheim as the Canucks win it 5-2.

^ Coming from the fan of the team that has won Olympic medals for diving, whining, biting and general doucheyness all-around?

I'm sure HNIC will play that up. Perhaps they can also replay Burrows biting Bergeron or all the other cheapshots the canucks line up for every game.
