awesome job
Thank you treras. That building to the left is the Sheradon Hotel (knock off of Shertaon). It add a little modernism to the mix. I too like the RBN and Mark Witter, but I as well still consider Vishay my favorite.

(Guys) What should I reclad that green building to look like?

just darken tif down some.

I think you need more architectural styles, I known the history and all, but solid boxes with little variotions gets kinds boring, no offense.

I get what you mean but at the same time, in the spirit of being practical, your not going to see a Bank of China Tower in Penn. I also like using boxes because they fill in the skyline good and you can shape them in many variations and styles. I will try to be more modern in the version, but the box style will remain the commanding architecture. And no offense taken, I never get bored of the box.

Well I like 680 Riverside Drive no matter what, but I too like the other stumpy green building to a degree. I'm glad I'm not alone in that. I don't know, we'll see what I decide to do with that one.

Yeah, I'll either remove the smaller one or reclad it. I love 680 though, especially how it looks on the water, so that will always remain there.

I agree though, the two together are a bit much.

Oops , I was referring to the comments a couple of pages back where you guys were discussing our free advertising via the signage we put in the city's . i.e , Marriot > Harriot

We have Marriot hotels here. I ate at the one near my work . Every bite was a struggle to swallow , The food was very well presented but barely edible.

I really would love to pinch a design or two for my city (the visible one)

Vishay and RBN are excellent. The Sheradon would be my favorite if it wasnt for the too light color of its windows.
Keep it up!

Well I want to work on the city, but I can't. Doesn't mean I'm abadoning it, but updates will continue to be, well, none for a while to come. If I find the time here and there I'll make some new buildings or post a few pictures. So that's where I'm at with Sprainbrook. Basically a month to month sort of deal.

Yeah I know, I actually opened the city up today and played around with it a little. The thing is I'm starting college on Sunday, so I really don't want to get involved with something that'll act as sort of a 'distraction'. Still, I really don't plan on giving this city the 'ax' so to speak, so I'll probably work more on it during breaks and free time.

Well I'm sorry to say this but my days of making sketch-up cities are over. It's to the point now where most of my time is geared at school and my MBA revolved organizations. The good news is I'm doing well in my quest of becoming a real estate developer, but it comes at the cost of not being able to fool around with sketch-up among other things. I still like coming around the sketch-up forum once in a while to check up on new and veteran cities, but my posting in this forum has obviously declined. I mainly stick around the highrise construction and proposal forums when I'm here. Anyways, just wanted to put the nail in the coffin for Sprainbrook.

Thumbs up

Thanks for the comments guys. Good luck to you in college fox, it's a fun and exciting time.

I was just going through this thread and it made me really miss the good old days on the sketch-up forum where me, Alek, Austin, vertical, Patrick, mikeR, CGII, Mo, treras, fox, and Peter would rule this part of the forum with some great cities and good conversation. There are still some great cities, but I don't know, it just ain't the same.

Anyway I just want to thank you guys for all your great comments on all my cities over the years. It was great to find this place and find other people who share my passion for designing skyscrapers. I'll be back here from time to time, but it's been good!
