Well, looks good. The buildings have nice shapes and I'm pretty sure you're gonna be good at textures later on.

Nice!! do you know how to post real, full sized Images? cause Clicking through all of them and haveing each one come with a pop up is annoying. I would tell you how,but I dunno.

Cant wait to see more!

I think you need to do it in a higher resolution. I will use it next time. Also I have already made updates.

Does anyone think I should start from scratch. It would be a lot easier to work on it and it would look better too. what do you think I should do.

It's up to you, but if you decide to start over, I find this to be the easiest way to start one if your new at it: make a huge square and paint it a water texture. On the water, use the free draw tool and make the land. Paint it a grass texture and pull it up however high you want. From there, start making your grid and just use your imagination. Every city is different.

If you need more help just let me know. I am developing a website with a section devoted to SketchUp cities and there will be beginner tutorials up soon.

I see some potential in Bay City.

I suggest starting over with a new layout, a more detailed city with sidewalks and trees, but the same general skyline.

Thanks here is a picture of the new skyline. I plan not to add to many of the textures till the end so everything will flow correctly.

That looks sleeker and more modern, especially the double hexagon. I'd go that way.

Looks great. If its close to Miami, you should include waterside condo towers. Seems all the rage down south

Great idea, I will do that to make it look more realistic. Because a beach towered over by supertall office towers dosent make for a pretty postcard. I have already added some textures to the buldings and I will post more updates soon.

I have a feeling Patrick will have a fierce competition later on. He started out the same way and now look at his city.

Thanks, there are two things that I need to know before I can do models well. One I need to know how to do roofs and two I need to know how to import to kerkythea, i still cant figure it out.

i definitely am loving this city so far. very neat and trim... nice job

However, if you're planning on rendering in kerk you will have to reverse all the faces. in case that you dont know how to. all you do is select the entire city , then right click and move down to reverse face.

What is the reason for doing this. It flipps the textures inside out, my city went from this,

to this, please explain.
