There has been graffiti of one kind or another on that bridge since the 1950s that I know about.

I'm not sure how long these others were up, but you can see a blog post about them from 2011.

http://www.hillcountrymysteries.com/...ng-austin.html

There's also this photo album other some others, but they're not dated, unfortunately, and the copyright dates seem to be for their overall blog. My favorite one has to be the "Pac-Man Never Give Up" one.

Heh, I can remember when there wasn't any graffiti on the bridge.

I had an opportunity to go up the Frost Tower yesterday, and saw this incredible view and had to snap a few pics. I'm loving the density around Seaholm. What a big skyline this is now.

Nice pics.

Very soon that view will be blocked by the Giant Molar.

The Hobby Building looks out of place there. Of course, I'm still a fan of it. I mean, how many maroon colored buildings do we have? I'd be ok with the limestone north wing of it going away, but keeping the maroon part and putting up a tall tower at an angle on the northern part of the block facing The Republic and it's plaza/park.

This view is nearly the exact view from my office, although it appears you were probably on a floor lower than mine by maybe 1 or 2 floors just based on the number of balconies that are viewable at the Independent. Were you on the 16 or 17th floor when you took this?

Yeah, I like it too. It wasn't that terribly long ago the two building stood out on their own basking in the sun. Now they are tiny looking lurking in the shadows. What keeps them from looking completely out of place is the block to the east. But I like them both together. I like the contrast to the surroundings and being an Aggie fan, love the maroon. Good to see h2h back again and agree about liking the density to the west. Heck, even the Indeed Building looks ok from there.

I was wrong when I said the Marriot wouldn't affect the skyline much. H2h, this is one of the many reasons you are no longer allowed to stay away for so long. Your photo shop skills are amazing!!!

You missed Block 185.

H2h where is The Republic? I think that is the most exciting building to come!

Ah yes, 175 is extremely obvious at 2nd look. It's too bad Frost isn't another 10 stories taller.

A couple weeks ago, I read that the Roppolo's pizza trailer on that lot will be closing soon. So that must not be too far off from getting started on it.
