According to the site elevation, Callaway House will be 205 feet tall to the mechanical penthouse and 179 feet to the main roof. It will have 17 floors. If it were finished today, it would be the 38th tallest building in Austin.

A couple shots from this weekend (Saturday, 8/4)

Working on the 4th floor...

A bunch of kids born in 1995 will be occupying this building next fall. No, I don't feel old at all

1995 was when I graduated from UT. And I sometimes feel old! But for the most part I feel the same now as then...

Between this building and 2400 Nueces West Campus is really getting some height. 21Rio there is 236 feet. This building will be 205 feet and it's closer to the camera, so it should appear about as tall as 21Rio from this angle.

Comparing the original rendering that was released with the newer ones above, it looks like they're planning to cover up the facade of the parking garage with horizontal windows that are staggered instead of just typical parking garage "slats."

The Callaway House Austin celebrated its Topping Out event today! CEO Bill Bayless was in attendance in celebrating the construction on The Callaway House. The event included BBQ and the traditional beam signing and tree placed at the top of the building for good luck. We are so thankful for this current milestone in the construction and are eager and excited to see more progress to come!

Topping Out Party. Bill Bayless speaking to more than 400 workers and attendees at Callaway Topping Out event in ATX. So excited to see the finished product!

It's interesting to see all of the brick work making its way up the exterior of their emergency corridors. With so little assembled land ready for a long-term lease deals I’m curious when we’ll see another 100’+ break ground? Either way, the energy over there has vastly improved since my undergrad days.
