The last cladding went up almost two monthe ago. It seems to go in batches.
The pedistal steel for the west part started just after that. Hmm.. seems on track to finish sometime later this month. Perhaps they will finish the second pedistal, then the first tower cladding and then come back to the new tower?

I'm waiting to see where they will move the mobile crane next

although the new iteration looks "cool," I never understood why they removed the original facade. i think a lot of people will look back at this deskinning with regret in the near future

"Taller" is relative. When not being a "negadelphian," I'm a "good-enough-adelphian." I figure if it's better and/or taller than the prior use, it's a plus.

What's happening at street level here is more important than height.

They have started adding the lower level facade panels on 12th st and along Market. Shouldn't be long before we start seeing some glass.

Its going to be much lighter/brighter over all than the renderings implied.

I think this building looks super sharp.

It's gonna be a fantastic addition to the city.

Too bad the big curved corners didn't make the final cut, not only would they have looked sweet it would have been a nice tip of the hat to the PSFS building.
This looks good and is a big improvement over what was there just 3 years ago.

Yep, on the podium, just like PSFS. Look at the steel beams on the corners:

And here's PSFS on the opposite corner:

If it were taller, it might be seen from the skyline.
From the street, it looks good so far.

A curved base actually reminds me more of Times Square than the PSFS building because of the large video displays that surround them.
If my memory serves me correctly, this should have large video displays.

the 2nd photo on page 1 of this thread shows the corner I was referring to.
But if the 13th St. corner is curved that will be good.
Are the video billboards dead in the water?

Yeah, the PSFS podium is curved only on the 13th St. corner opposite this corner, so having this podium also be curved only on that corner is, arguably, even more of a "tip of the hat" to PSFS than if both corners of this podium had been curved. Kind of suggests the two podia as a pair of bookends.
