Autumn is coming on fast. We went for a hike yesterday afternoon in the rain.

Nice pictures. It looks like you're hitting peak foliage only a week or so before us. We should hit peak color around Halloween down here.

Yeah, it's mostly changed now. Lots of areas of the city that are still entirely green but none left outside of it.

I love walking through the central courtyards created by the rowhouse blocks. Inside, they look like this:

This morning I woke up to our first hard frost. Last night was the first of the season that the temperature dropped below freezing. Ugh... winter is coming.

Anyhow, got up and went for a quick hike to the top of the Southside Hills. Set to another local band.

Great pictures, as usual! Thanks for sharing. St.John's is a lovely city, and I do not get tired to see it.

By the way, I remembered you when our IB's flight from and to MAD from BOS flew over the vertical of St.John's. In that moment, I remembered all the images you usually show from your city, wishing to visit it someday.

Took some snaps along a snowy commute home from the suburbs...

Intersection of Prince Phillip Parkway, Columbus Drive, Torbay Road, Kenmount Road, Freshwater Road.

Driving down Prince Phillip toward Memorial University of Newfoundland.

Approaching university.

Passing under the university food court.

Passing through Churchill Park, the last suburb we built on our own prior to joining Canada.

Little bit of info about it from some book:

Rawlin's Cross. One of the more infamous intersections in the City. I can't even name all the streets that come together there... Monkstown, Rennie's Mill, Military, Harvey, Prescott, British, King's, Queen's, etc.

Back near downtown on Sudbury Street.

And the final stretch home on Lemarchant.

Well that escalated quickly! Maybe you're not that far ahead of us with peak foliage, but it's not too common for us to get snow before New Years! Seems like the weather there is just unpredictable. It's cold unless it's not cold. It's never warm, except when it shouldn't be warm. It's pleasant, and then it snows, and then it's pleasant again. All before Veterans Day!
