I seem to recall another rendering that perhaps might even have been modelled. It was quite different than this iteration.

I think that I recall another version too. Don't think I have the images though.

They can't be messing around with the building on the NW corner of 124/102ave and turning it into that?

Ruining the small plaza on the southside? Making it uglier.

Am I confused?

How can there still be 8-bit renderings still happening in Edmonton?

EDIT: and is that parking access and LOADING on 124th I'm seeing? WTF?

This is a proposed office building conversion - the loading and parking access are already on 124th street unfortunately.

This is also the same developer that is building The Edward tower near the Brewery District on 106 Ave and 123 St.

That plaza sucks and always has. It's never been able to sustain any type of retail use to activate the space.

This repositioning is an improvement to the existing building. Although I do wonder how they'll demise the space. While the floor plates are rectilinear, it is quite a fatter building.

Understood. Just gobsmacked that the city would have approved something like that, even back in the 80s (I think) when this was built.

And my memory could really be failing, but was 555 perhaps the original developer? Something in my memory says that might have been the case, but that could be a faulty memory.

This renovation by all architectural measures is a down grade.

I'm not sure any of us can base much off of some 'ripped' sketch-up image that Ian posted.
