Yesterday was a beautiful sunny day, and warm! +10! So I went around and took plenty of pictures.

YUL condos- 120M

Very Philly/Brooklyn vibe IMO

The amazing Bell Centre cluster. In the foreground is construction for TDC2 (170M). Near TDC 1 a 28-floor hotel should start construction soon and behind it a new 50-floor condo!

Bell Centre cluster again, as mentioned before the 28-floor hotel/50-floor condo will be located where the red brick building is and behind it.

And of course some street art!

Many more photos (and more upcoming): https://the514lifeblog.wordpress.com/

Hope you enjoy the pics!

Time for a little update on this thread. I've been working like crazy this summer, so less time for pics and enjoying life but I've managed to snap pics here and there regardless.

More updates and more to come here https://the514lifeblog.wordpress.com/

Yes, well Québec City at thé outset was built like colonial cities in the first US states. No more, no less. There is a French architectural vocabulary mixed with British features over time like Montreal and other towns in Quebec. Riga and Talinn were no less imitative than Quebec City in building their environment.
Boston and Philly lifted Georgian architecture from their English context of origin but generated some inventive measures over centuries of evolution.

Nothing against Montreal, but the title of this thread bothers me to no end every time I see it.

Yea that's super right. If checking my reply history then can see that

Man I thought it was Santa Fe before I clicked enter. On the contrary, I consider Montreal is a typical NA city instead of unique.

Imagine how "tortured" maybe too strong but how "uncomfortable" the whole year been through as a true skyscraper skyline fan and it seems like this thread is still on going...

No offence, no complaint.

Here is a good call next time someone to put Omaha as North America's most unique city cuz Omaha is pretty unique indeed, as well as Des Moines.

A couple pictures I took this past Saturday. It was amazing how many festivals are going on in this city, it's truly unique. Also, spoke to many tourists from the U.S and elsewhere who are blown away by the city. Here are some things they said, well the ones I remembered (ended up partying on St. Denis/St. Laurant after )

1. One guy from NYC: "It feels like Brooklyn infused with Europe"
2. Mike or Mark? from Miami: " This is seriously one of, if not, the most unique city in North America"
3. A couple from Mexico: "Feels like Europe with a North American twist, Old Montreal was breathtaking"
4. My friend Wayne from Boston: "Feels like a bigger, more European Boston, still blown away by the diversity and liveliness, 2nd in N.A after Manhattan in this regard"

Anyways, here are some pics from Saturday.

Much more pictures here : https://the514lifeblog.wordpress.com/

I also wrote up about some new projects in Montreal, and about the new REM transit system, enjoy!
