^Remember the days when Wal-Marts were actually in malls? St. Vital is the last one left, and they've had to expand a few times...

Yep, Garden City Square, almost a carbon copy of Crossroads.
- Safeway
- Woolco
- Arcade/Smoke Shop
- Across the street from a larger mall

There was also a Pizza Place in that mall along with an insurance place, a dental office, a music store and a some other misc shops.

And Crossroads was 'the' mall long before they built KP.

Ye olde Unicity Mall had a pretty interesting layout.

I went in there once in the late 90's in its dying days. Growing up in NK I never had much of a reason to go there.

It's a shame that malls gave way to big box shopping.

It was quite exciting when it opened. I remember going there a few times in its first year or two. It was called Unicity Fashion Square to start with.

I remembered the food court mostly, and the bus stop area. Sadly, the whole things gone now

You mean when there were still buildings on Higgins? Yeah, I miss those days, too.

Nice find man, you can't help but keep pausing the video to look more in depth to what was.

I would not pause it. I would not want to break up that groovy tune that goes with the video.

Unicity mall, countless memories of that place as a kid... trying to sit on the "big stools" drinking orange julius (they had the same big plastic "pod" style tables and stools in the Portage La Prairie mall last I was through there a few years ago), all the glass and glitz at the birks jewellers, photos with santa under the atrium, getting lost in the clothes racks at woolco and going to the customer service desk so they could page my mom to come and get me, buffalo BBQ, looking for lost bills swirling around in the dust devils by the west entrance while waiting for the bus...
