And this building was going to be the tallest residential in the city when it was first proposed. Now it seems an afterthought in terms of height, but it's still a pretty tall building at over 900 ft.

I still think this building should have had a spire, but it's ok.

The crane you see on the far right is for WTC3. The crane in the center is for the new PATH station. WTC 2 will go to the left of the new Path station.

Inside Downtown's Tallest Residential Tower, 30 Park Place

Wednesday, January 21, 2015
Jessica Dailey

Quote:
Larry Silverstein's limestone pillar 30 Park Place topped out today at 926 feet, officially making it the tallest residential tower Downtown. The Robert A.M. Stern-designed building won't be complete until mid-2016, but the 157 condos, which sit stop a 185-room Four Seasons, are already 60 percent sold, including three of the 11 penthouses. The tower's location makes it stand out from many other super luxury buildings; many units look north, offering views of Manhattan and the Empire State Building that Midtown's new towers do not, a feature that sales director Loretta Shanahan-Bradbury said drew early buyers. But as the tower rose, people started to see that some of the most interesting views are much more intimate—the iconic Woolworth Building and the whole World Trade Center site are right there. All of the views have been a major selling point, and Curbed got to check them out from 750 feet up on the 73rd floor during a recent construction tour.
Here are just three of the images, you can see the rest at

That makes sense, in the last (very awesome) picture you posted it's still a bit shorter than beekman tower.

Is the final height 926' or 937'? (Not that it really matters just curious)

937' according to DOB filings, YIMBY and CTBUH.

Precast or not, the facade turned out fine. It's surprising how flush it looks considering all those gaps.

I think this photo says so much about New York and its skyscrapers. The Woolworth Building (over a hundred years old) was once the world's tallest building.

It's a landmark, and a great skyscraper design. But the city moves on. There are some people who would prefer it if New York was "done". But a great and thriving city is never "done".

The building thus far looks to be adhere to the original (or close to original)rendering. To think, I made my illustration over 5 years ago. Glad to see this building finally come to fruition. Look forward to its completion, looks great in the downtown skyline.
(P.S. my illustration should be primary, lol!)
