I think when it is all said and done it will be a project to be proud of. There is work still to come to finish the area around the stadium and some greenery will help soften the machine-like starkness of it all. Once the GA Dome is down and gone and the park adjacent happens, it will also help and tame the scale. There wasn't much available for a location other than where it is, plus MARTA will help reduce the need for surface lots. We will see a new convention hotel to the north and the Hard Rock as well. This thing won't be alone for long, all that gulch property will come into play rapidly and I see a mega project happening there.
We met at Starbucks. Not at the same Starbucks but we saw each other at different Starbucks across the street from each other.

This thing is truly impressive...but I completely agree with those of you saying it's almost stark in appearance given the development (or lack thereof) of the surrounding area. The way it looms on the horizon coming from Centennial is kind of surreal.

So much potential...I should've gotten it in the video, but the little park in front of the area is pretty nice, it just feels like a lot more could be done with the space across Northside Dr.

One benefit of the sparseness in front of the stadium is that there's this really impressive reflection of the Atlanta skyline in the glass at the front entrance. The pic below doesn't really do it justice (was zooming in past the chain link fence), but have a look.

Also, the building is absolutely gorgeous at the magic hour...hope to come back and take some more videos later this summer- if I get a chance I'll post back here.
Awesome! Great work on the video.
