Really?!?

If it's not Enya, Loreena McKennitt, Sissel or classical music, I'm generally not interested.

Aqua was known for their success "Barbie Girl"
Prozzak was a Canadian cartoon band, which was actually pretty good!
Whigfield is a one hit wonder with "Saturday Night"

Tours is booked by Whitecap. They are producing Cavendish Fest, but also did some show here and there. They booked the "I Love the 90s" tour last year, and it was a huge success, so they saw this tour, and brought it here.

It better sold out, the configuration is the smallest of the Centre.

And to have watched Facebook Concert buzzs for the last 10 years, the buzz doesnt necessarily equals sales.

I remember the Scorpions show. People went insane on FB! Results: barely sold 2000 tickets.

But the contrary can also happen. There was lil to no buzz when Vance Joy was announced, but he sold out the CasinoNB in 2-3 days and Cohn in Halifax 3 times.

But I'm sure its gonna do well. The only obstacle I see is the price, as most of the tickets will be around 100$ with fees

Concert Announcement for Moncton and Halifax at 11.

Looks like it's a Canadian tour, as Edmonton (calling it "Juicy" announcement) and Winnipeg (Huge announcement) are also having announcing at the same time.

Supposedly, this will be a "phone pouch" show.

If it's the same as some what is happening lately, you will have to put your phone in a pouch, unable to use it. If you want to use it, you'll have to walk and leave the show and have it unlock at the lobby.

If you manage to snuck your phone and get caught using during the show....OUT

Do they search you for phones and contraband at the gate?

I dont know if the old Coliseum had them, but the Centre will probably have metal detectors and ask you to empty your pockets and check your bags before entering.

Ever since the two back to back shootings in Ottawa/Saint-Jean-sur-Richelieu in 2014, they have tighten the rules about indoor venues. Including the ever so unpopular "no re-entry".

This isn't a concert but cool event coming to the Moncton Events Centre

Perhaps we could change the thread title to be inclusive of all events.

http://huddle.today/moncton-to-host-...g-competition/

We really need to expand our expectations with what type of events this centre can host. This isn't just hockey games & concerts. The events centre is now fully booked September 28th, 29th & 30th with 2 hockey games on either side of this event. Great for downtown!

Some attendance numbers that were released this week by Billboard.

ZZ Top (I put the Laval's numbers as a comparison)
Laval: 5,136
Saint John: 4,619
Summerside: 4,369

Bryan Adams
St-John's: 10,247 (2 nights)
Summerside: 4,501
Sydney: 4,065

Nancy Wilson
Halifax: 846

Should be noted that those are tickets "sold". Those given dont count there.

It will be interesting to see in the next few months when the first concerts at the Centre will pop up. Sadly we'll only get the numbers of Evenko shows (Chicago, John Mellencamp, Jack White for now), as SMG doesnt seems to reveal their official numbers, which is usually the case for smaller Promoters.
