Definite activity on site, they're bringing in staging equipment, were a couple tractor trailers unloading stuff behind the barrier. No digging yet, but something's clearly afoot:

I linked them directly from my Google photos with [img][/img], and they're set on share so hopefully it's just a temporary snag for you. But if anyone else can't see them, please let me know and I'll find the problem.

I cannot see them either

It's probably because we don't have permissions to view direct google drive images

Hmmm, they work on the other fora I go to. But no worries, I shall use postimg.cc from now on - I'll go fix em.

Thanks for the heads up - mod feel free to clean this up

That is movie production stuff. Those are HMI lights, and you only use that for cinema or other ultra-high-end production (like a iconic photo shoot). I have seem similar setups, where they have the lights outside to hit exterior windows.

Interesting, I thought it looked a little too clean. I wonder what the hell they're up to?

Edit: I went and looked at Aggreko's (name on the equipment) website and it seems they do provide power solutions for highrise construction : https://www.aggreko.com/en-ca/case-s...igh-rise-build
So maybe they're using those lights for another purpose? Their website doesn't mention anything about film and tv.

Clearly this is movie filming equipment. I see these lights in my neighborhood somewhat frequently.

Unfortunately you guys who spotted it as film equipment were correct, I was just there and all the equipment is gone, so false alarm - sorry everyone! I'll keep my eye on it.

If anyone finds out what they were filming there, it would be interesting to know.

We've seen it, but it doesn't hurt to see it again. Here's another look from Flatbush, along with the render...

I love this render NYguy, I just hope that this tower doesn’t suffer the same "value engineering" fate as 3WTC.

That would be awful. Enough great projects have already been downgraded, we don't want the best looking designs all butchered like 3WTC, Tower Verre, 3 HY, etc.. So, no thanks to that.

This is on track. Similar to Stienway, there's a lot of preliminary work. I don't see any sign of value engineering in the near future with this. Not sure whats making folks speculate that either.

You want a tower that will head in that direction, look to 2 WTC, but not 9 Dekalb.

We have enough evidence on the skyline of "value engineering" Nimbyism to express concern, chris08876.

Another gorgeous tower featuring setbacks! Joins 400 LSD in Chicago as the nicest tall buildings going up in the states. Absolute unit.

It could be, or it could be a tacky gimmick.. It all depends on the final result.
