LAWRENCEVILLE, GA | Radisson Blu Hotel | 23 floors

An interesting design for this hotel proposed for suburban Atlanta.

Video and article at - http://www.11alive.com/news/article/...winnett-County

Quote:
Richard Beaton heads up Escapades International, Inc. and wants to build a $115 million, 23-story, futuristic, ferris-wheel shaped hotel. He's under contract for a 421 acre plot next to Interstate 85 and says the proposed "Radisson Blu Hotel" would serve as a beacon for tourists who would see the memorable architecture coming and going through the state.

Yuck, I dont even understand what the architect was thinking. Glad to see the suburbs possibly getting a tower but damn.

There's a similarly designed Radisson in Frankfurt.

What makes a square building better than a round one? Seems fine to me. Buildings don't always have to be beautiful, although, I do really like the one in Frankfurt. These are mostly interesting. Someone mentioned "been there done that" - yes, but there are far more square buildings than round ones. The only problem is a round shape isn't the best use of the space since it wouldn't contain the same amount of space as a square one of the same height/size.
