I added Block 71 to this view from i35, to see how the building would impact the view seen by most people driving past downtown.

Man, it's really stealing One American Center's thunder there. I've always thought One American Center was sort of regal the way it oversaw downtown for so many years as our tallest building. Even until the Indeed Tower reaches its full height, it'll still stand out on that side of downtown. I'm not gonna lie, I'll miss seeing it stand out.

It almost looks like One American Center is part of Indeed Tower...with some sort of weird architectural fusion. I know as you move north or south from that exact point, you could clearly tell that they're two separate buildings.

That's a fun view. You'll be able to see 5th and Brazos for sure, and 360 will eventually also be completely blocked by the Republic.

And I assume we'll see a smidge of 6X above Indeed Tower, too.

h2h, you're like a magician that leaves me wondering how the hell did you do that. You are also a mind reader because that's exactly the angle I wanted to see.
I'll also kind of miss the sky behind the OAC, It was king of that spot for a long time, but soon it will be in the forefront with the Indeed Tower behind it mostly covered up as well as 6X will be behind the Indeed Tower. The OAC will still be seen in most of its glory with the exception of a piece covered up by the glorious Aloft Hotel. The Indeed Tower and 6X are important skyline adds which will help stretch the skyline vertically to the north and northwest. I really like the placement of the Indeed Tower and the tower itself. Looking at all the flat tops (except Frost) this angled roof line is so different in a very good way.

Thank you the Genral! I always wanted to visualize how the Indeed Tower will impact the view from i35, because let's face it, this is the most viewed angle of the skyline. There would always be more people that drive past by the skyilne, than there are people that go into downtown. I think OAC has been a great presence of the skyline, it's too bad that it will be overshadowed by these new buildings.

My next task for you, h2h: Create an animation which would show any and all new and proposed towers as viewed from a moving car, beginning at the northernmost part of the upper decks and traveling south to the river. And....go!

And I bid you one less! Just one great photo from anywhere on IH35, that captures many of the new and proposed towers. The above photo is amazing! Thank You. It reminds me of a decade or so ago when a forumer would treat us, out of the blue, with a photo of our future skyline. What a treat!

It's about the same bulk as the Frost Tower, but 30 feet taller.

This project is taking a long time to rise. Hopefully once they shift over to the office levels then this should finally rise high enough to be noticed from different angles before the year is over. Can barely see the crane from I35 and only looking down 7th.

I am surprised it is not further along also. Perhaps the concrete needs longer to cure for the weight to be put upon it? Do parking levels take longer than office levels? I know the core usually rises with steel structures so something else must be keeping the pace a bit slower. Anyway its exciting to see this building rising in Austin.

I was just up at the Domain an saw Indeed"s name, big and ugly, on two sides of a building. I sure hope the have enough respect to not put such ugliness on a skyscraper downtown! Time will tell.

The more the glass edifices go up downtown, the more beautiful the old Norwood Tower becomes. JMO
