Great update on the SZR towers, malec. The glass on Al Attar Tower looks pretty funky. Could it be that it's covered with a protective coating, or is that the real color of the glass?

I love the look of the Hard Rock Hotel, although I wish they'd chosen a better name. Somehow the name invokes images of a seedy 2 story motel with neon signs built in the 70's.

Amazing architecture. These buildings are really a model for the post-modern age.

Dubai itself is just one massive Mega project. These towers will be yet another great addition.

Al Attar tower by bizzybonita. Main structure is topped out. The spire needs to be done now.

Al Yacoub. That white stuff is not cladding, just more for protection of some sort I guess

HHHR Tower

Al Attar is one of the ugliest buildings being built right now. I don't know why anyone would live in such a building. Yuk.

I can't wait until most of the buildings are finished at SZR. That would be a marvelous moment to drive on that road then, surrounded by hundreds of supertalls.

I have a question that someone may be able to answer... or Malec probably... I haven't been on here since earlier this year.

What happend to that building that was supposed to be about as tall as the Burj Dubai by the rivaling developer of Burj Dubai? It may have been called the Pinnacle.... originally they weren't sure if it would be taller than the burj dubai and then after a while (which was earlier this year) they had planned for it to actuallly be a good bit taller than the Burj Dubai... I haven't seen anything on it.... did they shrink the plans?

The renderings looked really good........
