I think that NYC dodged a bullet. It was a poor design, better if it gets lost in the sea of buildings.

I don't think we know how tall the building will be yet.

If I had to guess I'd say around 8-900' and a box though, not really the most exciting addition.

DOB Permit: ~800-900 feet, might want to change the height count on this thread

That's the old permit which is being (re-)used, it's been discussed a couple of times in this thread. Sometimes older permits are being used to get the job going (see 30 HY f.e.).

Thank you hunser for clarifying that again. I wish that permit would be banished from the internet for ever!

I guess that statement should be posted once a week in this thread.

The latest dob filings I've seen has that information blacked out. So we'll just have to wait until it's updated.

A small space for a very tall tower. But that's how they do it in New York.

This thing is flying under the radar ... seems like it's already U/C. It will be so epic if it turns out to be a 1,300 footer and noone seemed to care.

Not to cause more confusion, but here it is anyway.

Note: The date of signature.

862’
67 floors

With Parapet/Crown, I think there’s a possibility this reaches ~900’ which would be OK by me. Even if it is not the case, the height is still welcomed and impressive. We shall see how things play out if it’s aprox this height or ~1,300’ tall.

Disclaimer:

Since this was logged into the comment section under the latest plan/work application dated 3/23/2015, it is still quite possible new architectural plans still has not been updated within the current system to reflect ~1,300’ tower

Not unexpected or a bad thing... 862' is fine for a site like this, hopefully they get more creative with the design though (unless it was a massing model)

I'm still not convinced this is ~850'. Something tells me 125G is flying under the radar and there's no final design or height, yet. I guess we'll know soon enough - an official statement from the developer would be nice.

There was an article in the NY Observer that said the height is 88 floors, which I'm guessing matches the renderings YIMBY broke last fall... but whether that is accurate or not I am not sure, as they didn't say where the figure was from. I am thoroughly confused about what's happening here.

with 2 and possibly 3 WTC being flat topped, the depictions of this tower we've seen seem less out of place. The western skyline will look even better if you include 50 West Street and if 42 Trinity Places comes to fruition.

Beutiful. Which makes me think the rendering on the site is just a placeholder. Possibly even an older mass model. With Shvo investing in the property North of Times Square, and supposedly going grand with it, given the market, it would be unwise to not be bullish on this tower.

A great addition for the skyline. Another 400m for the area and to add to the growing collection of 400m +.

Shvo posted an image on his website, but its obscured. Can anyone post a screenshot? It looks like there's something going on at the top.

It also appears to be twice as high as the W Hotel.

There's a pretty tall building on Shvo.com called The Pinnacle.
