San Francisco | The Bay Area Explored

Santa Cruz

I went back to Oregon to visit friends from December - January. I was staying with a friend who is originally from the Bay area so for Christmas we went down there and I got to see almost all regions of the bay except for the northern parts which weren't really a priority for me anyway. I wasn't expecting to go there at all so it was a nice surprise and also my first time in the state of California aside from a connection in Los Angeles.

Well that is definitely NOT your average Bay Area thread. Excellent.

Nice to see you gave Cal and Stanford equal coverage.

For the record, I've never seen a private university that has a campus with the scope, scale, and size of a public university as does Stanford.

Wow. I rarely see a thread on here that truly drives home why I can't seem to quit the Bay. Six years on the Peninsula, and likely heading over to "Bear Territory" in the fall...

Thank you so much for this magnific thread and pictures about The Bay and San Francisco.

I´ve enjoyed very much seeing SF again. I´ve liked Santa Cruz pictures too.

SF is a wonderful city to live in. We enjoyed very much visiting the city, exploring its hills, its neighbourhoods, its views from its parks...

I hope to return there someday... I miss it very much.

Congratulations and greetings from Madrid, Spain!

Hard to beat the beauty + urbanity brought forth by NoCal and SF. You definitely captured the laid back, decidedly West Coast vibe and feel. Oh, and this. Every third pale-faced, bright-eyed transplant to DC has that sticker on their messenger bag, bike, or plastered somewhere on their rowhouse front window.

I really enjoyed this. I like that you showed some of the more unconventional spots in SF. Nice photos, thanks!

One of the best photos in this group. Also, one of the best views of the Financial District is heading up 101, which you captured quite well.

Nice thread, cityscapes. Quiet a bit of variety in both geography and subject matter. It's always interesting to see someone else's take on locations you've known for years.
