Thanks once again thanks to all for participating!

To keep it alive I'm gonna break my own rule slightly and post another 10 pics of my own city - this time the more modern parts...

So everyone else who feels like are very welcome to post a new set of their pics if they feel like it

Modern Copenhagen:

Presenting my pics of Vancouver:
(Okay so there's 12 here but it was really tough to whittle it down.)

EDIT: Also, if you liked these, perhaps you'd like to check out my latest photothread if you haven't already done so!

Yeah that would be great!

And most likely even the cheaper solution if it's planned residential...

Along Rock Islands eastern city limits sits Moline. It's the home of John Deere Inc. I was born in Moline and went to High School here.
(That's all the photos from me, I ran out of hometowns)

I know that this topic was for own work... but I'll post here some photos and links to public galleries of some great guys... Hope they won't be mad, coz their galleries are already public... so... enjoy the sights of Serbian capital of BELGRADE one of the oldest European cities and after Istanbul and Rio de Janeiro, city with the best geographical position. It lies on the confluence of two great rivers Danube and Sava. Its part Zemun is old 7 000 years. It has great Belgrade fortress which origins from 1 BC... Belgrade had a wonderful Old town, but also modern and big skyscrapers... It has about 2 000 000 people. In Serbian its name means The White City... Recently it hosted Eurovision 2008, World Leagues in water polo and volleyball, European championships in basketball and water-polo 2005, etc...

Here they are...

The world's largest orthodox temple, temple of st.Sava's ( in winter time and summer time)

Old small church to st.Sava and large temple, next to each other...

The central, Republic square with buildings of the National Museum and the Nationa Theater from the 19th cen.

The view of Kalemegdan and farther Belgrade fortress with Victor monument built in the name of Serbian vicotries in Balkanic and world war 1... it looks over confluence Sava to Danube

Gardosh tower at the top of the hill in Zemun where from you hae great view on Belgrade's panorama...

The next two are New Belgrade's bloks of skyscrapers

Serbian Parliament built by king Peter I Karadjordjevic in 1907... (thou works finished completly later)

Nikola Pasic square...

Terazije square with view at Moscow hotel built in 1908. and farther palate Belgrade, upon a time, the tallest in Balkan...

Prince Mihajlo street, the main pedestrian street

Church of st.Mark's which was totally crashed by Hitler attack on Belgrade in 1941. There are tombs of Serbian Emperor Dushan Nemanjic and king and Aleksandar Obrenovic and queen Draga. Church is one of the largest orthodox temples in the world. The monument you can see is the monument dedicted to killed Serbian kids during NATO bombing 1999.

Belgrade is one of the most crashed cities in Europe, "thanks" to great strategic position... And the only bombed city after WW 2 in Europe

Belgrade arena the largest European indoor sport hall... here were EC in basketball, volleyball, Euro song contest, concerts of Andrea Boccelii, Rihana, Lucciano Pavarotti, Phil Collins, Junior Jack and manyyyyyyyyy moreeeeeeee. It was constructed for World Championship in basketball in 1994. as Serbia was World champion that time and got the organization, but UN sanctions stopped us not just to organize it but also to defend the world gold... we took gold later in 1998 and also in WC in 2002

Ushce tower, the tallest in the Balkans... It was crashed during NATO bombing but we renewed it and it's nice and good again, e

Belgrade fortress

NIKOLA TESLA monument, one of the greatest Serbian and world's minds ever

This is the link for other great photos from this guy...
