They're probably fireproofing behind the draping. Glass won't be far behind.

Concrete supports in that last photo?

What are those concrete supports in the bottom right of that last photo for? Are they for extending the Schuylkill River trail?

Also, about the billboard:

Quote:
A large billboard sits on the property, and that’s going nowhere anytime soon, Syrnick told PlanPhilly. Outfront Advertising, formerly CBS Outdoor, owns the billboard, and there are no talks between Outfront and the city to take it down.

I believe you are correct. The pillars are probably for the bridge connecting the expanded trail to that new plaza part of CHOP, according to the article you posted.

The f*cking billboards in this town are so f*cking gross.

They're illegal in NYC now. What a difference. Unencumbered views of the city from all of the approaching highways (on the NYC side of the river).

The fact that we can't even take billboards out ON high profile construction sites speaks to the grip those lame industries have on our politicians.

I would suggest to you that billboard on that site from that angle is not a really small thing and that if it's staying put it will detract from the entire project. There's no way CHOP doesn't have the money and clout to make it disappear.

Why spend money to make it disappear when you can make money off of it?

Doubt they own it, but maybe they charge rent for it. Money is everything guys.
