Aquariums and Zoos - A Photo Thread

This thread is dedicated to photos of aquarium and zoo buildings and exhibits, with an emphasis on their architecture rather their their inhabitants. Architecture of these specialized facilities includes traditional structures (usually more impressive in aquariums), themed structures (often for geographical interpretation), and landscape structures (such as simulated rock walls for naturalized containment).

It is an additive thread so feel free to post your own photos or others found on the web! It will probably be appreciated if posts clearly label what and where the aquarium or zoo is.

Yeah, I wish we could get a real aquarium like that. I love the subject of marine biology. I grew up taking family vacations at the coast. I love the ocean and I'm fascinated by it.

Ch.G Ch.G, the original part of the Shedd Aquarium in Chicago is indeed the most classically beautiful aquarium structure I have seen too! I can think of no other in the United States (certainly not any of the larger ones) that comes close. I think none of its early contemporaries even exist in their original structures anymore.
