Same for Halifax. The best 8 tickets in a row I could find were in the UpperBowl and sections farthest from the stage.

Bryan is always a sure thing for East Coast promoters. They can bring him every 2-3 years and he'll bring at least 3-4k in every town.

Looking at the Jack White tickets (Moncton) on ticketmaster it appears somewhere between 80-90% of the bowl seating is still available. I think they might have missed the mark on this one by using the full setup. I find it kind of odd considering the setup for the Videotron Centre show is much smaller in a city 4 times the size of Moncton.

I hope there is a lot of floor seats sold for this one. I can't see them since its general admission. Either way I'm sure there will be some lessons learned by SMG on this one. I think his show kind of got lost in the mix with all the other events happening, and that even though talent wise he may be the best act to date aside from Keith Urban Monctonians just aren't familiar enough with his music to pay the prices they are asking.

It;s because Quebec City doesnt have a proper "8-10k" venue, so thats why it's the smaller setup at Centre Videotron (it's probably the same amount of ticket available). Thats why Evenko got Place Bell, to accommodate those type of shows.

SMG probably had to go full setup as they needed to sold X amount of tickets in order to break even. They'll surely lost money on that one.

I dont think it's a "lost in the mix" situation. It's more than it's a type of genre that doesnt appeal to the Moncton region. I remember when he played with the White Stripes at the Coliseum, and there was max 2000 person there (and im being generous).

And It's not just a Moncton issue. I was able to really good tickets for the Halifax show as well.

SMG will surely learned their lessons like you said, but mostly to think twice before bringing acts of certain genre and focus what bring crowd in Atlantic Canada (which is mostly Country Music and Oldies).

The setup at videotron looks like less than 5 K to me. They are only using half of the building and none of the upper bowl. The lower bowl is the same size as the Avenir Centre aside from the club sections. Actually 3 rows smaller on the ends 28 rows vs 31.

While the Avenir Centre is using the entire lower bowl.

I think there is rock acts that can draw here, but they'll need to be more mainstream. Imagine Dragons for example would sell out.

It just shows that Quebec City promoters didnt need to sell as much tickets as Moncton or Halifax in order to get even. I calculated quickly and came out with maybe 6-7k tickets available, depending on how many floor tickets are available.

And of course Imagine Dragons would sellout. They are playing 15-20k arenas now and are selling out most of them. But Jack White is no small act either. His 3 albums went #1 and he headlined pretty much every Festivals there is. Im sure SMG didnt thought they would have to block some sections in order to get people from buying tickets closer to the stage.

Maybe people are just disappointed and are still waiting for the "Big One" they were promised when they were trying to sell the idea of the Centre. It hurts probably more considering the slew of announcements that came in the last week (Ozzy, Kiss, Maiden, Buble, Backstreet Boys), but none of them are stopping nearby.

I don’t know if the “phone free show” has something to do with it.

I know I was disappointed some of these dates weren’t closer. Especially since Ozzy is playing Bangor. Ozzy has the record of the fastest sellout at the Metro Centre in Halifax and sold out Moncton when he was here as well. Kiss & Backstreet boys have also sold out Harbour Station in recent years as well.
