That...is a great angle. There is a formidable gap to the left of the W. But it seems different gaps appear at different angles. At least 500 West and the Independent not only fills a big gap, but also does a magnificent job tying the western edge of the skyline to the rest of it. There used to be a western edge cluster that seemed sort of seperated from the main part of dt. The skyline is truly starting to look like it belongs to a city of almost 1 million. Now if we can get 600 Guadalupe built, we could almost put a fork in it.

Anyone have a guess/clue on how many floors are left? I'm guessing 16-18?

The 40th floor is U/C, so 18 it is.

Until the apocalypse, unfortunately. But the sculpture fits right in with the ridiculous fence behind it and the wonderful substation behind that. Where I come from, we call those layers of shit. With all the great buildings in that section of downtown, there seems to be a disproportional amount of eyesores,
including the railroad tracks and rail bridge over the river.

so true

Wouldn't mind the tracks if they were actually being utilized...

Those balconies are pretty small. If they were any smaller, they would be considered Juliets.

Actually, something like the Vessel would be a pretty cool feature to replace the substation with.

Haha, I was gonna say...the Vessel would be a lot cooler than the substation.

The glass isn't colored any different. There's concrete/material behind those particular panes of glass.

Are you sure? I don't think that's the case. The reflectivity is different. It looks like obscure glass to me. Look at the glass adjacent to the balconies.
