Some thoughts:

- The backside of CMHR looks like a mini recreation of Winnipeg's skyline with all the beige towers
- My, god CMHR needs to be properly lit up, what a shame
- Interesting to see the city changing colours because of the LED lighting – the Ledge really stands out now
- That angle of Osborne shows its real potential – looks so compact and busy, shows what could become of Confusion corner with retail all the way to the RT station
- Some pretty damn good views

- Shaw Park is an absolute gem and The Forks/City/Katz should work together to try and create a Wrigleyville-esque area around it. Expand the plaza to include some of the parking on either side of (and under) the rail line to make a little park. Would work well with (and lead into) the little pocket park that is going in beside the Richardson Innovation Centre. Build a small building (Bond tower resurrection?!) on the baseball field painted lot, with frontage on Westbrook and patio along the new Rail Line Park. Eventually the west side of Westbrook and Parcel 4 get developed with great street-front patios and all of a sudden we've connected The Forks, Downtown, and Exchange in an amazing way, bustling with people on game days, and getting more people to games.

*wakes up from dream*

I've been wondering why this hasn't been done yet! Not even fancy and expensive lighting either, just light up the textured rock with strategically placed corner lights on each angled face. Because it's so rough it catches the light and looks super dramatic all on its own.

Yeah its been a missed opportunity to be a standout landmark from that perspective

Lighting adds so much. Even just the small RBC building and the bell mts place getting some lighting changed them and adds to a vibrant feeling downtown.

I was driving into downtown yesterday from the south onto the midtown bridge and caught a glimpse of this building. It seems to be undergoing some kind of exterior reno, perhaps a re-clad. Anyone have any details on what the final look will be?

It's a Manitoba Housing Building - complete exterior upgrade.

It's not for cosmetic reasons.....envelope and mechanical system upgrades....water and air infiltration. Kind of a necessary item - the envelope.

It's good to see they're taking interest in maintaining/upgrading MB Housing buildings.
