Curious, since horizontal fins really don't do much on the north side in terms of blocking the sun. The do add some facade dynamic.

^Well since there will hopefully be a building directly north built in the next 5-10 years, maybe its not too big of an issue.

That's not the north side, it's the south side of the building.

I think you will see the Dichroic glass start to be installled by the end of the week if my estimates are correct. The neat thing about the glass is how it reflects different colors, kinda like a prisim. It would be nice to see the ground level protection on the south elevation removed asap. I have heard the general contractor is not turning over the building to the owner until October (this year)

Definitely one of the nicest, if not the nicest building being constructed in the mountain west... yeah, the mountain west. Tallest, no, nicest looking, yes.

(is it taller than cityscape tower 1?)

One CPE is 341' 8". Cityscape tower 1 will be around 375-385'.

I think i'm gonna like the cityscape tower a lot more than this one.. this building is beautiful, but its just so damn stumpy.

This thing is gonna be sexy sexy. Especially when the Dichroic glass gets installed. I am curious how that is done though. Looking at the "pegs", it looks as if it sort of snaps or hooks into place? Or some other method...?

I like CS much better because their parking garage is below grade. First thing you see on OCPE is the massive parking garage that the offices sit on. Definitely a building a designed for a car crazy city.

OCPE actually isn't over parked and is actually pushing the envelope on parking and pushing people to use mass transit. Cityscape actually has twice as much parking per square foot, but they got their parking paid for by the City of Phoenix. Because OCPE didn't get a big government incentive they had to be more creative with the parking, it is a lot more expensive to build parking underground.

^ I'm just saying that the parking at OCPE is an eyesore compared to CS parking, which is hidden from view.

I think he is speaking from an asthetic point of view.

I think OCPE's above the ground parking looks cool! I like the treatment. It also makes the building 9 stories taller than it would have been if the parking were underground. It gives the building a different dimension, texture, and a cosmopolitan aspect.

Yep, I like the above ground parking too. It lends to a more urban vibe I think. (NYC and Chicago have tons of buildings with similar style parking).

Doesn't 44 Monroe have above ground parking also?
