^ A truss designed at a pyramidal point. It redistributes the weight of the building, almost like a tuned mass damper, except it doesn't move, it's part of the design. The hat truss was used in the old Twin Towers.

I put an entire video on the last page explaining about things like the structure and hat trusses. Stop repeating the same things. Go to the last page and look at the video I posted. It's not a good thing to post things that are going to be redundant because it takes up space.

Thanks for the info and pictures. Their is one error in this and its that the 1 WTC (Freedom Tower) will only be 104 floors, not 108.

Yeah, I love it. I just walked to the 68th street pier in Brooklyn with a T-shirt. The view of 1wtc, and LM in general there is gorgeous. Maybe next time I'll remember to bring a camera.

It does make sense when you think about it. All 3 buildings have the same basic structural design - a perimeter structure working in conjunction with the core.

It's very similar to the old WTC in almost every aspect. This is most definitely the son of the old WTC.Soon to be the Alpha Male.

Looks like fireproofing has resumed. Curtain wall installation shouldn't be far behind.

I love when the cranes sometimes stand up vertical beside each other! Sort of gives us a resemblance of what the spire/mast/antenna will look like on top!

That doesn't make any sense to me. I've watched this entire building's construction on a daily basis and this is, by far, the largest amount of black netting on that building with respect to the tower's height. Fireproofing was always MUCH closer to the steel work than it is now, so what's the hold-up? New steel has been installed for the past month or so...that delay is over. Why wasn't the re-start concurrent with the rest of construction? They're like 15 to 20 floors away from the steel work...there's no way they're going to catch them.

That's because the steel work has been delayed for so long it is going to take a while before the rest of the work can catch up.

Not being funny or nothing. but i asked the same question a year or so ago will this building have a hat truss like the original wtc ?, And the person who answered it was zensteeldude god rest his soul, he told me this building would NOT have a hat truss due to the core being incased in concrete, the building wouldnt need a hat truss because the core would hold it all together, im not sure if the plan has changed but thats what he honestey told me.
