La Capitale Insurance HQ looks great. The po-mo style is very well executed.

C'mon hammy, even Quebec City and Winnipeg are jumping in on the game!
Would you rather live in a tiny little condo or something like in the pic below for around the same price?

Is QC building anything ugly at all anymore? Everything I've seen posted looks good including proposals.

That photo is from my visit to Hamilton back in September

That row of houses is a block or two west of James Street North.

Il really think it's a new reality. The city has made it clear to promoters that it doesn't want any crap anymore and that good design should be the norm from now on.

^ Wow! I last saw that back in July, great to see how much it has progressed. It really will do wonders for the Bronte Harbour area, and hopefully more developments like this will weed out the ugly 1970's apartment buildings that sore the look and feel of a very affluent harbour.

Toronto's glass condos face short lifespan, experts say
Many of the glass condominium towers filling up the Toronto skyline will fail 15 to 25 years after they’re built, perhaps even earlier, and will need retrofits costing millions of dollars, say some industry experts.
Buyers drawn to glass-walled condos because of the price and spectacular views may soon find themselves grappling with nightmarish problems, including:
Insulation failures.
Water leaks.
Skyrocketing energy and maintenance costs.
Declining resale potential.

The Peace bridge looks awesome. I think at night with its lighting it will look very striking as well.
