^^ yum.....not, they have it wrong..... its one thing to build a city, its another to build it right (i.e, smaller street grid, less highways, more rapid transit, more predestine friendly) like how would i cross that road just to get to the ocean!, Dubai is built around the car...

Only if more people in Dubai thought like you, borgo100. It is such a shame that Dubai has so much potential to implement what you listed above, but they do not. I only hope that Dubai will become such a city as it implements the Dubai Metro, new tram lines, and expands its bus network. But, they still continue to make terrible mistakes without thinking of the consequences.

Amazing amount of construction and boom in Dubai, and to think just a few years ago none of these towers existed.

It's good to see that the construction is on again.

Correct. It was flooded after the wall between the water and the pit of the Infinity Tower caved in.

It took longer than was planned to reach this point, but it is finally here.

... and in about a year, the Emirates Crown will have ended its brief reign as the tallest in the area.

(I hate the doughnut... it spoils the amazing verticality of the cluster)

One last render for now. Next time I make renders there'll be some more towers in there.

Not really. I like it. Better than many of the skylines Dubai has. Even though the buildings have funky shapes they still fit together which is what messes up some parts of Dubai. That a lot of buildings have so many weird shapes that they don't fit well.

Those buildings are awesome. Those supertalls being very close together does detract from the overall presentation, but at the same time it looks like a mini downtown core.

No.

It's a unique architectural complex.
I'm only skeptical about the ornamental top of a few skyscrapers, but it seems like a deliberate attempt to create something different.

Very much so. Though its not so much the height as it is the abominable architecture.

I love the chaos of this cluster. What's a pity though is that it's the cheap crap designs that are a certainty to get built while the awsome ones like the pentominium mightn't because they're, well, cheap.
