From this angle it looks like another two floors or so and it will surpass the the South Tower.

Hudson Yards is the cornucopia that is the symbol of a $46 billion+ city-wide construction boom. That ship has the right idea in mind.

And we haven't even take our pants off yet, as Phase II and towers like The Spiral, 3 Hudson, and 50 Hudson have yet to really start. Not to mention all the parcels being snagged up within the proxy areas, destined for towers. Meanwhile, head a tad bit North, and you'll find Waterline Square, a mini Hudson Yards.

I swear down this part of the Apple is like one glorious skyscraper maternity ward.............

The whole swath of real estate from 57th St. corridor/Billionaires' Row to MidTown East merely has an overactive pubescent pituitary......

^^^^

And it really creeps up on you too. An example being heading towards the Lincoln tunnel on the NJ side. As you get closer to the bend, the whole swath of skyline that you are refering to is really downright, brutal in your face. A hell of an entrance if you ask me. Still to this day it is, and imagine how newcomers who are coming to the city for the first time feel? It's raw urbanism upfront, uncensored, and beautiful.

Midtown is on another level. The gold standard for urban jungle.

In sum, pictures do not prepare one for the experience of being in the city. It's a f***'in addictive place. Just reels you in time and time again.

Property values have got to be soaring in this area. Not only the addition of this massive project but The High Line is finally reaching completion in this area as well and that raised values alone. NY guy, any idea what they are doing with The High Line around The Javitts Center? That doesn't seem to be under construction at all.

I am super impressed at the speed in which 30 is being completed. Then when I think about 2WTC still on hold it pisses me off a little we are 16 years after the fact and still no where near that building being constructed. This project clearly didn't help matters looking for anchor tenants there. If I had a choice I would pick midtown over the financial district.

I'm not sure what you mean, unless you're talking about the final leg that ends at 34th Street. The final third of the High Line is called the "Interim High Line" because it will have to wait until the second phase of Related's development to be complete before the final version is put in place. I have noticed however that the "High Line Spur", the portion of the line that crosses 10th Ave and will have the art plaza is under construction.

As far as the northern end, look for the state to bring in a developer, as was planned before. It wouldn't surprise me if Related went on to develop that site as well.

An older version of the site plan...
