Anyone have any idea what's going on with the baseball field in Lakeburn?

Seems like there was a bid for work and it was won a few months back but no news after that.
The baseballs fields are currently under construction off Airview Street in Lakeburn. The plan is to build them before the next baseball season starts so they could remove the two fields behind the centenial arena to build the new rink.

Speak of the devil, for some reason, they just posted this photo of the new baseball fields on the NB Retail Talk & Share FB site.

The chatter on that site isn't exclusively limited to retail. I know they keep an eye on SSP (just like we keep an eye on them). I suppose they saw the chatter on here about the ball diamonds and snapped a photo..........

The skating oval could be a big attraction for the Wingate Hotel (for family vacations and getaways during the winter season).

According to the T&T, the new refrigerated skating oval behind Dieppe City Hall will open "in days"

It's good to see that they are also working on the skating surface in front of Moncton City Hall too. They should both get lots of use this winter - it looks like it will be a long cold one...........

A few pictures from Skyzone in Dieppe, from their website. I must admit that this place looks very professional!

A new tower crane has gone up in uptown at that apartment building under construction next to the aquatic centre.

Also, the new refrigerated ice rink looks to be a success. There always seems to be at least a few people whenever I drive by and the free concerts at the rink on Friday evenings have drawn good crowds.

Which building is that?

This building here on Principale Ouest street. It's a clone of the adjacent building.

For those who are interested, here's the link to the survey being conducted by the City of Dieppe regarding the future of the downtown of their community.

https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/ExpansionDieppeEN

Note that you do not have to be a Dieppe resident to participate in the survey.

You don't say...

That's a good survey. They asked some valuable questions on land use, amenities, and what should be focused on in the future.

Quick question for folks: does anyone know what work is being done at night at Champlain Place? (The generator has been waking us up at night often for a few weeks now.) Hope it is a project that will end soon. :-)
