Yeah, I agree. And Sunrise Beach folks need to drive a lot farther to get basic stuff now. For instance, Kingsland has the closest HEB, but it's not just a few minutes down the road anymore. I'm really glad that the 1431 bridge held up, but the Colorado River flow was significantly less this time around. Both bridges needed expanding, so I wouldn't be surprised if the new 2900 bridge would at least be wide enough for four lanes (or two separate bridges like the new 281 bridge). In the meantime, I hope they get a temporary bridge up - like a military pontoon bridge or something.
