LOL Thanks Kevin. I know what you mean about the Monarch. At night, I'm drawn to it like a moth to a flame.
Here's another shot when it was stuck on green with part of Spring visible from the same vantage point underneath the Lamar pedestrian bridge.

Another night view that I think will look good once everything is finished is from the trail just west of Lamar. You'll have Spring and Monarch all lit up, with the lights from the Gables project below

I love the lighting in both of those. It's like Austin is being bathed in a golden light. It almost looks like heaven.

Here's some - uh - grittier views from South Lamar Blvd while I was riding the #3 Bus Friday (Feb 6) taking pictures through the front window. First three are near Lamar Square. You can tell the bus driver's changing lanes.

The last one is coming down the hill towards Barton Creek Drive

The views along Lamar around there are really coming along nicely. During the last decade there wouldn't have been much of a skyline view in your last two shots, minus West Campus stuff.

Awesome photos! The daytime ones reminded me of what I like most about Spring. It's NOT brown and it has lots of glass that has the potential to reflect colored lights from other nearby buildings at night.

Spring views from the 41st floor. The building had a topping out party on February 24.

3/20 - During SXSW.

They've started to install the glass around the mechanical penthouse.

I grabbed a burger at P. Terry's, which is a locally owned healthy burger stand. It was good and very reasonably priced.

Taken on 4/9.

Please excuse the haziness of these. The fires in North Texas were blowing down to Austin.

Taken on 4/13.

From the train bridge at William Cannon in South Austin, just a mile from my house.

Nice set of photos, Mike.

Does anybody know about the trees on the Spring?

As always, keep up the photos everybody.
