You definitely have some serious zoom in that lens!

^ Ha! It's really not that impressive, I promise. It's just one step above what a digitial SLR usually comes with when you purchase it.

This is the exact lens: Amazon.com

Mine came with my camera, though - I bought a package because it was cheaper than getting it separately and I knew I wanted a 75-300mm lens because that's the one I used most in a previous career.

351 from the far end of Harbor Drive

Another one

And another

Shot at 2012-08-28

A worker on top of the building (7-8 floors up I would assume). Must be scary at this height, not alone on a true skyscraper.

Shot at 2012-08-28

One with the full height of the crane included.. Does anyone know how tall this is, because it certainly towers above anything else in the city.

Shot at 2012-08-28

You can really see the sheer size of the building here. It may be about the same height as the rest of the high-rises in St. John's, but it certainly looks much bigger in terms of square footage per floor.

Shot at 2012-08-28

From what I can tell, there are now finished the 2nd office floor and are preparing for the 3rd. At first, it looks like there are 3 office floor structures already completed, but when I took a closer look it seems that the first layer of steel seems to be a part of the parking garage. I am not sure though...

Nice pictures! The height of the crane is about 75-80 meters high, and is currently the highest structure in the city at the moment (minus communication towers of course). The height of the building itself will only be about 48 meters nowhere near the height of the crane.

And yeah, only 2 storeys of the office are done thus far. The 6th floor of the garage is done with the steel so that the rest of the steel-frame office can tie in with it, I'm assuming it'd be difficult to start the office section on the pre-cast concrete.

Great angles for the photos, thanks for posting and welcome to the forum bellerophon.
Marty McFly, that is probably about right for the crane height, four floors of offices to go, and then the mech penthouse, which will be about 47 meters.

A panorama of the view from Shea Heights:

And, a nice thing about 351 Water Street... when you're driving west on Harbour Drive, it appears to jut out from the rest of the street and really stands out:

Great Pictures!!

I'd like to say thank you for all the nice pictures. I'm lead checker working with the structural steel fabricator (in Halifax) and it's certainly nice to see the building's progress.

So I'm guessing there is no fifth office floor?

There's still 2 more floors to go on the construction, as well as the mechanical penthouse, which should be done in the next month I would think.

Two more? Awesome. I somehow got it mixed up and thought there was only one.
