Thanks guys, I really appreciate the compliments. Yes I strive to make my drawings look realistic and as close as possible to the real thing, or as close as possible to the render if it's a proposal or U/C. The one thing I have not done yet is put reflections on my drawings. I'm thinking of doing that one of these days. More to come...

Keeep dooing Koops. For some way your way to do your buildings make me in stimulation to do some of mine more. Hope someday you do some tries in reflections also to see how you reach that... A challenge that i believe you would do also greatfully also and it is very easy to do. Paintbrush with some Paint goes. Your recent 'buildings' are pretty more realistic than never as always was! For me great to see!

I finally have 500 drawings now, with 481 primaries. Not too bad for 5 years...

Thanks, I actually had a request for it, and liked the photos of the building so much I decided to draw it right away. Too bad it doesn't exist anymore.

On a side note, I had a big laugh when I updated my drawing of Commerce Court West, by putting reflections of sky and clouds on it (the very first time I've ever done that) and thinking it might replace your drawing as the primary, and then suddendy they put Zhen's drawing as the primary! Very bizzare...

Your drawings are fantastic Koops, and surprisely this Foresters Temple Building is wonderful made, but does it not lack some flags on it? on the photos seems to have it at least one in middle and besides. Great. Yes, it was funny that neither yours neither kamuix' one remained the primary solution, but Zhen' s one. You can check who approved and then put other as primary. It is easy to see inside !

The blue sky on your diagram is too bright, and the cloud is too large. Unless you were right beside a window, a cloud wouldn't appear that big in relation to the building. Zhen's drawing is simply more realistic.

Besides that, from a horizontal angle of view you wouldn't see clouds like that, you would see other buildings and the horizon, with only a bit of the sky. You should re-do the windows.

I agree 1000%, thats why I never did reflections before. It was just an experiment. If you're looking at a building horizontally any reflection you see will be yourself! And the horizon behind you. But that only applies if the land around you is flat. If there is a significant elevation change you could see a good part of the sky, or possibly hills or mountains too. I'm sure there is a good reason why poster quality drawings do not have reflections.

Nice colour choice on Uptown, but if you don't mind a little criticism, I think it's kind of... I guess 'chunky' is the word I'm looking for.

I understand, and I tried to make it more skinny, at the expense of detail, and to make it even thinner would cause more loss of detail. I'm still working on it...

After looking at lots of pix of uptown, I now believe my drawing isnt really all that chunky, the render that eveyone was familiar with shows the narrowest profile, but as soon as you look at 2 sides at once it becomes a wider tower, especially on the lower floors.

Hey thanks
I'm working on a Toronto compilation of a bunch of my toronto drawings that I've made over the years. Shouldn't be too much longer.

Thanks Tower X, keep making diagrams, the more you make the easier it gets, and the better they look...

@Flamesrule - It's alot more tricky than I thought it would be, still working on it, and I also have to get Zhens permission to use his diagram of CN Tower. My compilation will look rather strange without it, just like the real skyline would look strange without it, and I have never made a CN Tower diagram.
