i initially read this thread because i thought another lightweight, space-framed structure was being built. but i was wrong. it's another nondescript design. normally i wouldn't comment further, but some of the messages in this thread are unintentionally humorous and morbidly fascinating.
edluva.... please, please, please keep your identity issues away from architecture. there's enough bad architecture in the world without having it infused with a dose of... well, whatever is bothering you at the moment.

this quote is just too precious to pass up. lots of demagogues have been elected via heartfelt but irrational mindsets like yours. "a people's history of the united states" is something you need to read.
you want to instill some sort of ethnic nationalism to transform the overwhelmingly financially-constrained, brutalist/modernist, and often commercially compromised architecture of taiwan into something more refined? guess what? it's not going to happen. even in the theoretically democratic US, 99% of the built environment isn't reflective of anything except the desire to yield the highest possible investment return.
