looks pretty nice. but i think this area needs a couple of 200m+ towers to look like a mini shinguku.

However, from these picture views, it looks like it is not too crowded.
The buildings are not bad in my point of view, just now. However, compare with other city, it still has a lot of improvements.

in a communist authoritarian society like china where the govt. can do anything they want over the will of the people, yes.

in a democratic society like taiwan where civil liberties reign and the peoples' voices are heard, no.

take your pick.

not bad. the only thing i would've liked to have seen is a better top - like a nice octagonal pointed dome type structure/steeple or something. taiwanese skyscrapers dont have any of that. thanks for posting.

its so ugly, but it's also very taiwan. and for that reason, i like it there's something endearing about taiwanese architecture despite how bad it is... like a combination of Japanese uniformity, United States 1970s brutalism, and gaudy neoclassical europe that somehow comes together.

taiwan will never be a great country. taiwanese people do not value imagination. they do not aspire to greatness.

No country is prefect, so we will learn from your criticism.

yeah no country is perfect...but tw is far from perfect and has a lot to improve..

the problem is "when will we learn?"

All the problems we have discussed had been mentioned 10 ...20 years ago.... no/very few lessons learned... the Panciao case is a very good example right here.

how frickin' rude. taiwan is great in many other ways besides architecture and has achieved a lot in just a few decades. just shut the hell up and get lost. go back to posting your self-righteous criticisms on architecture in the LA forum.
