I would certainly love to vacation in Dubai, unfortunately it's very very far away from me. I think I may get there someday, though...

Nope, one building doesn't make a city special. Sadly, the WTB is no longer such a special thing. I'd rather visit Cairo and see the pyramids.

IF and WHEN this building is completed, I will visit Dubai most likely on the MidEast expeditions I take every few years.

If I were to fall into a huge load of cash, which isn't likely to happen since I don't play the lottery, I might go out of curiosity. Otherwise, no.

No, cuz I really don't care. Even though it is a pretty cool project.

I would think most people here don't really care about UAE, it's unimportant to us. We care more about the country we live in or neighbour.... or if the place is far away, they must be significant in size such as Japan, China, Malaysia, Europe.

Keep things in persective.

Not likley. If I had a large wad of cash to spend and loads of free time to explore the world, then yes I would consider a swing through the UAE to see this mamoth building along with the rest of Dubai and the Palm Islands. However I don't forsee that happening by 2008.

Specifically to see the Burj Dubai? No.

Maybe someday, however.

I probably won't visit it, unless something unexpected happens. I have been invited to Hong Kong for around that time, though .

No, but I'll gladly look at the photos.

Hell, I can barely afford to go to Dayton.

To add my contribution to this thread :

Neither money nor time/opportunity grows on trees for me, and I haven't travelled overseas in a long time. Dubai isn't close to topping my list anyways, but if everything was perfect why not pay a visit then?
