I wish they had built Terminus about 250 feet taller, so that it would actually stand out more than it does. Oh well
It'll do.

^^ In that pic is gets suburban down the street.

Here its suburban across the street.

People, the urban area will ALWAYS touch a suburban-ish area at its edges. Do you expect absolutely everything to be urban? Wait, I already know the answer.

That's not a fair statement. You can pull pictures of Midtown that look the same way. Also, the street looks more bare than it did initially. Everyone knows that the streetscape is changing in that portion of Buckhead. That particular shot will look different next year, and there are more parking lots on Peachtree in Midtown, than there are in Buckhead.

SimCity does not have to account for harsh realities like budgets, demand, tastes... you know -- real life. And some people are never satisfied with things which they never lifted a finger to build. Reality is a grown-up concept.

Oh, I think it is pretty much that way all over town. Here's a similar shot from the core of Midtown. It gets pretty suburban pretty fast, like in about one block.

Every city has the suburban like quality immediately once you get outside the core. Last week I was 3 miles from Manhattan, and I was in a strip mall. I could SEE the Empire State Building, and I was surrounded by parking lots and SUVs and Ruby Tuesdays and everything you people hate. If you want absolute urbanity, then move to downtown Boston or DC or Chicago or New York, but Atlanta is probably not the city for you. Unless you don't mind it.

Sure it does but I was just making the point that Buckhead is after all developed around a couple of malls just like a typical edge city so it should be no surprise that it looks that way. Not that that's bad... it is after all the hottest submarket in Atlanta just that its a little different than development in the core of the city that happens to be suburban in nature.
