Just a reminder that this is going to council this week on the 24th. I encourage those that want to ensure this goes thru to show up and speak, at the very least send a quick note to mayor and council stating your support. Only takes a min or two.

*l* Maybe fellow forumers pmed me telling me they emailed the city or even bcc'ed me...Or maybe I just have internet access and know how to read. The submitted correspondence is on the city's website.
Instead of wasting time speculating you guys could be submitting an email.

I wrote a note and sent it to the Mayor and Council. I echo Jlousa's comments about the importance of making your voice heard.

Pretty sure Westbank never gets turned down by the City....and I'm pretty sure the City are part owners of this site...and I'm pretty sure this project will be just fine.

Attending the council meeting now. Seems like 25% of speakers oppose this project, mostly regarding the height and size of the tower, anti-dome shape of the downtown core, backyard plants dying due to shadow of the tower, and traffic problems.

Looks like we're down to the last speaker now. Wonder if council will vote tonight or defer till their next meeting.

Thanks to those that took the time to email in, it helped show council that the public is supportive of projects like this.
