Not much happening on the site. I am not sure when they have fenced off the nearby small building and what that might be indicating. Also the wall there is freshly painted, which is a bit strange.

seriously, it's called "addition"? like, how can you even utter that to someone without irony or shame?

No kidding. I'd love to have heard how that name was pitched.

During the boom years, I swear the marketers just looked around their offices and kitchens to come up with names.

Camera!

They're advertising now.. from Rennie Marketing Systems. It's progress, no word though, yet, on when the next step will happen (sales, etc). Nor on their website: additionliving.com

this changed from earlier renderings. odd that they chose to highlight this particular view. the south side looks somewhat more interesting. in any event, another bland clone.

Current status: parking lot

To the north of the development is the heritage Murray Hotel building and to the north of that is this surface level lot and this 2 story building. Perhaps if Addition goes ahead then this will motivate someone to develop this property and complete the block.

I've brought a few clients through the sales-centre. The suites are of very high quality and the finishes are some of the best I've seen in that price range.

The proximity of the Murray Hotel, which will remain an SRO and the social housing tower directly to the west turned off everyone I brought through.

There are many comparable suites in recently completed buildings like Salt that offer better value and are priced lower-per-sq-foot and w/o GST. The sales seem to be going well according to the sales staff, however.
