Whistler Wanderlust

These photos are from in Whistler, British Columbia, Canada (pop. 10,000) during the first weekend of August 2014. Whistler is famous for being a world-class ski resort and the host village for the 2010 Olympic games. It is approximately 90 minutes drive north of the largest city in western Canada (Vancouver).

The journey starts in neighbouring Blackcomb mountain, where my hotel was. It is only a small developed area on the other side of a large creek.

Great tour. Don't make it a once-a-decade thing next time.

I did, but it's still too hot to get too excited about trips out to whistler just yet!

Whistler's actually more popular in the summer than the winter now.

It was too hot though - we went to a 2pm movie just to get out of it.
