must be judgment day: gio returns to philadelphia

i was in philadelphia two weeks ago for the first time since begrudgingly moving my wife back there and out of my life last summer. it was absolutely wonderful to see my friends (including my pal roy halladay), try some new restaurants and see some familiar places, but i came away with nothing profound or interesting. equal parts relaxing vacation and massive headfuck. no closure, no expectations.

no expectations?

WOW!!

Great thread, beautiful pictures!

You´ve made a great job. I´ve liked very much the variety of your pictures, the colours, the sharp.

Philadelphia´s skyline is very nice. You´ve captured life in the city very well.

Congratulations and greetings from Madrid, Spain!

Unreal set... such a different vibe from your PNW series. I love it when the subject blends with the background, even if it is just happenstance.

there is a hulking feeling to these, a slumped one. this version of philadelphia seems confused and oppressive and very intricate, a different mood to your portland shots as of late, which are kind of delicate and full of life.

funny how the narrative may or may not shine through i guess. the best photographers on here, and you're one of them, are able to communicate on so many levels simultaneously.

who knows but that on the lower frequencies etc.
