Incrieble!! Istanbul is someplace I have to see. The Hagia Sophia is simply amazing as is the entire city with all of its history. Incredible photos too man.

Great photos! My girlfriend and I visited Türkiye for nearly ten days this past spring and had an incredible time. Your description of Istanbul is accurate. I tell people that some of Istanbul looks like Cairo and some of it looks like Beverly Hills.

I enjoyed your photos of the Roman Cisterns, as it was difficult to take photos there because of the dim light.

Nice photo tour! In these pics, Istanbul looks a lot like it did when I was there in 1985.

lol! I guess that's right, as much as things have changed in Istanbul, there is a large stock of old buildings. I imagine parts of it still look like it did in the Byzantine days

Some of the Istanbul metro area also looks like the Dulles corridor as well, as the city has a modern skyline and a booming financial center. Istanbul really is an amazing city of constrasts.

Great set, never made it to Istanbul while in the Navy. One of my regrets. Thanks for the tour.
