Demolition of the pre-existing structure continues, with one of the townhouses almost completely gone while most of the workers have moved on to nearby buildings.

They're really chipping away with the digging.

I'm ready for 432m of this @"432 Park"! Each of the metal squares will probably be around 15'x15'.

They really are. Just when I think they're done, its a little more digging. The townhouses are coming down quickly also.

Will 432 improve the skyline?- Yes.
Will 432 improve the street life?- Possibly. Can't truly say until it is built.
Is 432 better than what was there before?- Yes.
Will 432 have a better street presence than what was there prior?- No personal opinion.
Will 432 leave a coffee stain on the skyline?- Definitely not. All the rain will wash away any coffee stain!
Will 432 be taller than what was there before?- Yes.
Is 432 UGLY as hell?- Not at all.

If you go to the 1wtc construction forum and go to page 985, STR posted a virtual skyline of New York from 1wtc. In it you can clearly see proposed buildings including 432 park, and personally i kind of like it. Its very boxy and thin, but i think it can pull it off.

Despite the name being 432 Park Ave, we need at least one source to give us that height. ( I know what the CTBUH has, but there is no source given). The 1,350 ft height is likely not accurate, but we were given at least one source.

Anyone can write to Vinoly. His e-mail address is on his website, and he is very cordial.

I just walked by. The demo progress is amazing. Only in NY can a 432m tower rise under the radar.

I love that you can see thru to 57th street already. Also someone poster there was rebar on site but those look like drills to me.
And to Robert Walpole, I'm going to have to buy you a camera, you get around the city much more than I do.

The progress this week has been amazing, I'm shocked at how quickly things are moving along.

Can someone explain what the 3 steel beams are in the center or are they drilling?? Hard to tell from the cam

This things gonna go up quick. With the speed of these workers and the thinness of the building, this thing will go up before anyone notices
