The Architecture of "Mirror's Edge"

This game came out recently for the PC and most major console systems. Takes place in the future. You are a carrier who must run through the city to deliver messages because communications are controlled by a totalitarian leadership. I just want to show you these pictures and discuss what you think, what they remind you of and examples of this kind of style in real life and other media

All pictures courtesy of http://www.gamekyo.com/

PLEASE click on the thumbnails to view the images at full scale. They are of very large size and these thumbnails do no justice to the full detail.

Impossibly sanitary. Architecture firms would kill to know how the buildings stayed so clean and radiant.

The architecture itself reminds me of a mix between a modern American city (with its grid like setup seen in one picture) and Tokyo (a lot of mid-rise structures occasionally pierced by skyscrapers). But that's just me.
