I agree with you on that. I think the city is so happy for Bass Pro to pick up the rent on the Pyramid that they're just about going to let anything fly.

Other than some minor things (huge Bass Pro logo on the side, naming the street Bass Pro Blvd.) this is going to be a tremendous improvement to the Pinch District.

That's just the entrance driveway to the Pyramid parking lot.

Hatchett Hospitality to expand Memphis facility

Hatchett Hospitality is planning a 3,300-square-foot expansion of its Memphis headquarters that will include a new design center and showroom. When the project is completed, the company will shut down its 2,000-square-foot facility in Bartlett, the current home of the design center and showroom.

A luxury hotel planned for the corner of Linden Avenue and Fourth Street got a big boost this week with the approval of $45 million in taxable revenue bonds from the Industrial Development Board.

The hotel, which will be branded a Hilton, is a key part of the Triangle Noir development plan for the area south of FedExForum and into South Memphis.

Memphis needs more corporations downtown so hopefully Pinnacle will move to One Commerce Square.
