Wow! This has completely exceeded my expectations of the city and country. It is quite beautiful. It's also interesting and encouraging to see just how similar we are, despite the political differences.

There's a show on PBS that I enjoy watching called Rick Steves' Europe, but he also travels to other places. I just got finished watching a trip he made to Iran. He visited many of the major cities, small towns and even the rural countryside. It was amazing to see how curious, generous and friendly the people were of him and the United States. Several people there noted how our two governments haven't been able to get along, but several people said that they quote "love Americans and the United States". He talked with people on the street, in shops and posed with them in pictures. The people there are really no different than us.

You can read about it at the link below. I found it fascinating how nice the people were and how ordinary their everyday life was.

Someone also uploaded the entire episode to Youtube, so you can watch it there.

Fascinating pictures of a place we don't get to see a lot of. Looks to be a very clean and modern city. Thank you.

If you watch the video, all signs are bilingual in English wherever tourists visit

I like how the English on those signs are in American English.

great pics, I would love to go. It has to be one of the most interesting places to visit out there - the society, the history, the way of life, the food etc.

Amazing. It's a shame some Americans think Iran is just a desert, nothing more than Iraq. In fact, it's a culturally advanced civilization.

I agree with you relative to the misconception of Tehran. It is unfortunate that some minds like to remain blocked with nothing more than false propoganda.

What a beautiful city and beautiful people.
