One thing I noticed after being in Toronto the past 10 days, is there are so manyhole-in-the-wall bars, there has to be 50+, but seemingly so few in Calgary.

You get the idea. Small, narrow, dominated by a bar, intimate (which can be good or bad depending on the clientele).

Oh, and just to throw in another criteria: must have stools at the bar, ie a single person showing up wouldn have to sit at a table for 4 by themselves.
